When it comes to country and its independence the population is usually very sensitive. Whether
it is India or any other country but when talking about India things are a bit more emotional and
touchy. Also this year is much special with the country completing 70 years of Independence. So
why not try a very different way of celebration. Let’s find out-
How about wearing tricolour?
Oh!! No no!! I am not asking you to wear the respected flag but we can try the auspicious three
colours of our flag. A handloom saree of vibrant saffron or an anarkali of pure white bliss or
jumpsuit of cool green colour. Similarly, you can get into tricolor mood by wearing tricolor
dupatta, accessories and earring.
Wanna eat tricolored delicacies?
Yup how about try colored halwa or three colored idlis or even burfis. Oh yum! I am already
having water in my mouth. And the best part is that we can make all these things in our kitchen.
Paint our nails in three colors-
You just need to have three colors of nail paint - white, green and orange. Create any design of
your choice on your finger nails and flaunt them. You can get the nail art done using three colors
from market too. Green eye shadow with white liner can add statement to your tirangi dress.
Painted nails? Now paint the sky-
You must be thinking how. No you don’t have to fly a jet plane which emits tri colored fumes.
Just go to market and buy kites. There is a tradition to fly kites on the occasion of the
Independence Day every year, so it would be a good idea to buy Tricolor kites available in the
market and enjoy flying kites with friends under the open sky.
Tri colored rangoli-
When we were kid we love to make rangolis at our school’s Independence Day function. Let’s
revive the memories of school time. What about making it at our home? You can decorate your
home entrance by making rangoli of various patterns just as make in Diwali with the help of
tricolor this Independence Day. Make sure nobody steps on it as it resembles the National Flag.
This way our tricolour will be a fashion statement and we will celebrate the day in our own style
statement.
